Welcome to Cypress Chapel

We would like to welcome you to our church. Cypress Chapel was formed by the divine works of the Holy Spirit. We believe this divine appointment was given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Our vision is to nurture and disciple everyone to draw closer in their relationship with God, allow the works and gifts of the Holy Spirit to become fruitful in the lives of everyone.  We believe the Gifts are for today and we are to exercise the Gifts with the in depth knowledge of the Logos and Rhema Word of God, the Bible.  We hope our Great Commission is apparent within our church as we coach, mentor, disciple men and women of God to an intimate relationship with Him, from salvation and through our sanctification. We want a complete Sozo life for everyone and to allow Jesus to be their Lord and King. Come and become part of Jesus' body and join us. You are all Sons and Daughters of God, princes and princesses of the Almighty. God is the owner of a thousand hills and there is nothing impossible with Him.

For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "YES!" and through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for his glory. 2 Cor 1:20

For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 50:10

For nothing will be impossible with God. Luke 1:37

What better way than to stay in HIS promises!

"Loving to Life" is our Motto

Our motto is "Loving to Life," which in greek is "I agape gia ti zoi." In this phrase there are both Agape and Zoi (Zoe) words. Agape being the unconditional love which we are capable with the divine love from the Holy Spirit; zoi being complete and eternal life, the base word for sozo meaning completely healed life or mostly known as salvation life. It is interesting to note that we are to honor each other above ourselves and to love each other above all else without condition.   To live complete sanctified lives, which helps to live the very promising life that God intended for us. We hope to edify and excite you, to know the love of God and experience this atmosphere of love in our church. We hope to see you in our gatherings.

Why the name Cypress Chapel?

The root system of Cypress trees interlock with one another that can withstand severe storm and flood conditions. The tree alone can be taken down easily but when they are planted together they can strengthen and grow.  Hebrew 10:24 says, "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works." and in the next verse in Hebrew 10:25 says, "Do not forsake the assembly." We wanted a church that believes in stirring up love and good works by assembling together in fellowship.

Cypress wood are used in the building of the Temple (1 King chapter 5 & 6), similarly our body is considered the Temple: 1 Cor 3:16 says, "Do you not know that you yourselves are God's Temple, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?"

Cypress is used to build ships. Both the gopher and te'ashur of the Bible are the cypress. (1) Gopher: It was from this wood that Noah was commanded to build the ark (Gen. 6:14).  Its Greek name κοπάρισος appears to be related to the Semitic gopher.

Musical instruments in 2 Sam 6:5 were also made from the Cypress.

Cypress signifies Beauty and Redemption, just as through Jesus we are Redeemed.

Many have had dreams and visions of a very large Cypress Tree while we were yet seeking the name for our church. One confirmation led to another thus the name, "Cypress Chapel."
